Our team is ready to root for you.

When we say “your goal is our goal” - we mean it. Everyone on our team at NCCPT is on your team, too. With decades of experience guiding us, we strive to hire the best physical therapists possible. We believe that PT’s should be both highly skilled and compassionate listeners, so you can benefit from the expertise and support you need to make what matters most happen.

Together, we’ve helped thousands of patients through quality physical therapy, innovative treatment, and listening well to everyone we work with. We can work with you and we can coordinate with your existing treatment team if you have one - including doctors, coaches, and personal trainers.

When you walk through our doors or connect with us in a telehealth appointment, you’ll see exactly what we’re talking about. And we can’t wait to meet you soon!

Prior to running her practice, Misty was a skilled PT for Duke Medical Center, Durham Regional Home Health, Treyburn Rehab, and Carolina Meadows. She holds a bachelor’s of science in Allied Health / Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont.

Misty runs NC Center for Physical Therapy in partnership with her husband, Jeff, the clinic’s COO/CFO. They share this special business, a wonderful life, and four children (who aren’t quite “kids” anymore!).

Mikala
Patient Care Manager

Mikala comes to us from Starbucks with over 10 years of management experience. She loves helping customers with a friendly smile and a warm greeting. While she is new to the medical field, her 15+ years of customer service experience has taught her that everyone benefits from compassion, the willingness to listen to others and a positive outlook. She left the fast pace of the service industry to focus on helping people and building community and she found the perfect place to do so: NC Center for Physical Therapy!

Jessie
Social Media Manager

Jessie is currently a student at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, majoring in Exercise Science and minoring in Digital arts. She works the magic behind the camera and is the office photographer. She has been doing photography since her sophomore year of high school and is now learning more techniques about photography in college. She is Jeff and Misty’s youngest daughter and has been helping out at the office since 2010. She used to clean, check patients in, and even count reps for their exercises. Now her tasks have slightly changed, while you may sometimes see her in the gym helping the PTs over her college breaks, she works more with updating the website and managing social media. Growing up in a PT clinic she has learned a lot about physical therapy and is considering going to PT school.

In her free time outside of classes Jessie is on the club water polo team and a member of the photography club. She also loves playing board games with her new friends she has made in college.

Jeff Pidgeon

Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operations Officer

Helping lead NC Center for Physical Therapy is our CFO/COO, Jeff Pidgeon. Jeff oversees the clinic’s financial and business affairs, strategic planning, human resources, building operations, information systems and security. Having spent more than a decade working in Corporate America, he brings an insight for optimizing operations to our work – ensuring our PTs are empowered to provide the best treatment to our patients, maximizing both time and resources for them.

Jeff is also Misty’s husband of 32 years. He fondly remembers writing a letter to her back in 1991, just as she was finishing her last clinical rotation of physical therapy school in Vermont. It read, “Wouldn’t it be great if we could open our own practice one day, where you’re the PT and I was the financial guy and did the computer stuff?”

Together, they did just that on November 15, 2010. Turns out, it is great.
